Prior to seeing Arsenal and Chelsea in action in their FA WSL clash, fans aged 5-16 years old were invited to take part in a free, interactive fanzone, brought by Continental Tyres.
The event was run as part of a series of exciting match day experiences, taking place at key FA Women's matches across the season. Over 140 young girls took part in the activities aimed at encouraging girls to get involved in the game.
Arsenal Under-17's players, recent winners of the Under-17's National Cup, were in attendance to meet and greet the youngsters. Participants received top tips and advice on how to get involved in football and a Q&A session was held to give an insight on what it is like to be a young Arsenal player.
There was also a Female Referee Ambassador present, Sasa Ihringova, to deliver practical mini whistler activities. In addition the loveable FA WSL mascot Berry and Arsenal mascot Gunnersaurus Rex were in attendance and there was hair braiding and face painting to add to the enhanced fan experience.
Games included batak boards, a speed cage, a target shoot inflatable plus a new trailer that houses digital stations and the FA WSL and Cyprus Cup trophies. Arsenal also displayed the FA Girls' Youth Cup and the FA Women's Cup trophies. All those who registered at the fanzone were offered free entry into the London derby game, which Arsenal won 2-1.
