Hutton's Charity tournament success
 Women's Football News 9 Jul 2013
Brentwood-based Hutton FC have raised an impressive £650+ for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) by organising women's and girls' football tournaments in June to commemorate a former player, Jenny Kerwood, who sadly passed away during a training session last year.
In February 2012, the tragic passing of Jenny at Hutton's ladies session was a shock to everyone at the club. The much-respected 22-year-old has never been far from their memory since and they celebrated her life by backing a charity which provides support for families and screening for young people to help avoid the tragedy that befell the Kerwood family.
The ladies' event saw nine teams taking part as a total of £444 was collected, then the girls' contest a week later raised further funds. Then a further donation from the club themselves brought the figure to over £650. CRY, who raise awareness of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS), are said to be delighted with the club's efforts.
