XL boost for Hampton Girls
 Women's Football News 15 Jul 2013
XL boost for Hampton Girls - 15 Jul 2013 - Women's Football NewsWhittlesey-based XL Scaffolding Limited provided Hampton Football Club's Under-16 Girls team with a stable platform to perform on at their summer tournaments by providing funding for a playing kit.
They proudly sported their new kit, which included jerseys, shorts and socks, at four summer tournaments in Nottingham, Alconbury, Woburn, Wisbech and Water Eaton.
The girls were certainly inspired by the new kit and came home with winners trophies from three of the tournaments and were finalists in the other two. During the winning spree they beat some very high quality opposition including Nottingham Forest and Leicester City.
The girls will now use the kit for weekly training sessions until they start their Cambridgeshire S-Tech League 2013-14 playing season, which commences the second weekend in September.
Hampton Football Club introduced girls football in 2011 and have grown rapidly to become one of the largest provider of female football in the East of England.
XL Scaffolding Ltd are a contract scaffolding company working on a variety of industrial, commercial and domestic projects ranging from small building works to major construction projects.
The Hampton Under-16 girls team currently has an opening for two talented players to join their playing squad and would be very keen to hear from any dynamic midfield players or tenacious forwards looking to join a high quality team.
Girls looking to join should be moving in to School Year 11 in September. More details about the quadruple award winning club are available from their website at www.hamptonfootball.com.
Sean Somers, Project Manager from XL Scaffolding commented: "We are thrilled to be able to support Hampton Football Club and encourage the development and growth of their female section. XL Scaffolding are committed to providing safe working environments in a range of industries and Hampton Football Club share this vision in the community football providing children with a safe playing environment for football."
Steve Purnell, Under-16 Girls Manager from Hampton FC, added: "XL Scaffolding have been very generous in allowing our team to have a professional looking playing kit for our summer tournaments. Hampton FC work hard to provide playing opportunities for girls in the city, as until now opportunities have been very limited. Dale Somers at XL Scaffolding has been very quick to recognise the need to support this very talented group of players."
