Duo depart from Arsenal
 Women's Football News 17 Jul 2013
Arsenal duo Jennifer Beattie and Rebecca Spencer have left the club.
Scotland international Beattie has decided to return north of the border to continue her career. Having joined the Gunners from Celtic in 2009, the versatile forward enjoyed four successful seasons with the club, winning seven major honours and scoring a number of spectacular goals, as well as a hat-trick against Barcelona in the Champions League.
Goalkeeper Spencer, who has proved an able deputy to Emma Byrne in recent times, also leaves the club in pursuit of more regular first team opportunities.
Arsenal manager Shelley Kerr told www.arsenal.com: "Jen and Becky have been valuable members of the squad for a number of years now and I've enjoyed working with them both. They are players of quality and I know they'll enjoy successful futures in the game. I wish them the best of luck."
