After finishing the first half of the FA Women's Super League season at the top of the table, Liverpool have further strengthened its squad with four new players during the summer transfer window.
Sarah Gregorius, Ellie Stewart, Katie Zelem and Kate Longhurst have all joined Liverpool as the team prepares for a busy second half of the season.
Sarah has signed from German side Bad Neuenahr and adds international experience to the team after representing New Zealand in the FIFA Women's World Cup and 2012 Olympics. She is an exciting attacking player with an impressive goalcoring record having notched nine goals during last season for her club and 17 international goals in 41 caps.
Ellie and Katie are both young exciting England Under-19 internationals who join from Everton and Manchester United respectively. Ellie will further strengthen the defence and Katie will provide attacking creativity to the midfield. Kate has signed from Chelsea and is a hard working centre forward and great finisher.
In addition to the four new recruits, goalkeeper Rachael Laws has signed a new contract until the end of the season.
Liverpool manager, Matt Beard said: "After a good start to the season, I felt it was important to improve our squad and competition for places.
"We now have options in every position so the players have to be performing to the best of their ability to maintain their place. I now feel we have a good blend of experience and youth and everyone can learn off of each other.
"The most important thing is that we don't get complacent and focus on having a successful second half of the season."
Liverpool have a busy first week back starting with a home game against Arsenal on Saturday 3rd August at Halton Stadium, kick off 7pm.
