Northern Ireland were the first team to take the initiative in their UEFA Under-17 Championship qualifying group with a 4-3 win against Czech Republic in the tournament's opening game at Harlaw Park.
Czech Republic took the lead on six minutes when Tereza Szewieczková blasted past Jessica Poots ten yards out. This was cancelled out only four minutes later as Aimee Mackin scored the first of her three goals with a calm strike 18 yards out.
In the 20th minute, Mackin scored the goal of the match with a curling 20-yard free kick.
The hat-trick was sealed three minutes from half time when she pounced on a break in the box to make it 3-1.
