Glasgow City tightened their grip at the top of the Scottish Women's Premier League with a 4-0 win over second placed Hibernian.
Leanne Ross opened the scoring, before a double from Eilish McSorley and a strike from Ruesha Littlejohn gave the reigning Champions the win which moved them eight points ahead of their nearest rivals with eight games left to play and puts them in good shape for their UEFA Women's Champions League qualifying group in Holland this week.
Spartans moved themselves to within a single point of third placed Rangers by beating them 6-3. Sarah Ewens had a great day in front of goal for the Edinburgh side, netting four times, and she was joined on the scoresheet by Claire Crosbie and Kirsty McLaughlin whilst Rangers found the net through a Megan Foley brace and Hayley Cunningham.
Aberdeen and Celtic meanwhile battled out a 2-2 draw and still occupy the next two places. Goals from Chloe Fitzpatrick and Nicky Wright earned Aberdeen a share of the spoils while Julie Fleeting and Rhonda Jones were on target for Celtic.
In the bottom section, Forfar Farmington made sure of keeping ahead when they notched up their second convincing win in succession, 6-1 over Buchan Ladies. Abbi Grant scored a five minute hat-trick during the second half to spearhead the win with Caroline Heron adding a brace and Caren Webster also on target, Buchan's consolation coming via a Hannah Stewart penalty.
Hamilton Academicals follow on after scoring six without reply away to Kilwinning SC. Caroline Richardson bagged a double for the Accies and there was one apiece from Ashley McDonald, Ainsley Douglas, Gillian Sloey and Kirsten McGuire.
Hutchison Vale also notched up a 6-0 victory against Falkirk. Michelle Russell and Laura Gavin each netted twice along with Bryony Ross and Jennifer Malone.
