Cardiff City Women were narrowly beaten 2-0 by NSA Sofia in the second match in their UEFA Women's Champions League qualifying group in Bosnia.
The damage was done early on for the Welsh Premier Women's League Champions as they went behind in the second minute through Silvia Radoyska and Evdoyika Popadiynova added the second goal fifteen minutes later.
The defeat means that Cardiff can no longer progress to the knockout stages of the competition but they will look to return home on a high note when they play their final match on Tuesday against Konak Belediyespor of Turkey, who have already qualified for the last 32 following their 3-2 win against group hosts WFC SFK 2000 Sarajevo.
