France 2 (Diani 62,64) Germany 1 (Bremer pen 90)
France are one step away from a potential third UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship title after two goals in a three minute second half spell saw them to a narrow victory at Parc y Scarlets.
Group B winners Germany had gone into the game as favourites and they went close to taking the lead when Linda Dallmann broke through but was denied by Solene Durand.
Germany continued to press and the tournament's leading scorer Pauline Bremer looked certain to putting them in front when she rounded Durand but her shot was cleared off the line by Aurelie Gagnet.
France held on and worked hard to keep the scoreline level going into the interval.
The first half had been largely uneventful apart from the early German chances but the game began to open up more after the break and Durand was called into action once again as she saved from Rebecca Knaak's header.
Although they had not threatened greatly in the opening hour, France then came up with a double strike to stun their opponents. Substitute Kadidiatou Diani was fed the ball just inside the area and she gave Meike Kamper no chance with a curling shot which found the far corner of the net.
Before the Germans could recover, France won a corner on the right and Claire Lavogez delivered a pinpoint cross for Diani to rise highest, her header going in off the post to put her side two ahead.
It looked as though France would ease home to victory but they were to endure an uncomfortable finish to the match. With ten minutes remaining, Bremer broke clear on goal and was brought down on the edge of the area by Griedge M'Bock Bathy. The French captain, and influential defender, was shown the red card - ruling her out of the Final - and Germany suddenly sensed the chance of a way back into the game.
For the second time in the match, Bremer had a shot cleared off the line by Gagnet, and Margarita Gidion struck the bar before Germany were finally given a lifeline when Lina Magull was brought down by Durand in the area and Bremer stroked home the resulting penalty.
However it was too little too late for the Germans and there was no more time for them to level the scores, leaving France to look forward to Saturday's Final at the same venue.
