Arsenal cruise to first leg win

Arsenal all but secured their place in the last 16 of the Women's Champions League after they thrashed Kazkh side CSHVSM Kairat 7-1 on Wednesday. 
Goals from Kim Little, Danielle Carter and Jordan Nobbs gave the Gunners a comfortable half time lead before efforts from Katie Chapman and Rachel Yankey put the tie beyond doubt in the first ten minutes of the second half.
The hosts pulled a goal back in the 58th minute through Olga Aniskovtseva but Arsenal weren't finished yet as Little added another before substitute Freda Ayisi completed the rout late on.
The second leg will be played at Boreham Wood next Thursday (2pm). 
CSHVSM Kairat: Oksana Zheleznyak, Oksana Shpak, Natalia Ivanova, Yekaterina Krasyukova, Mariya Yalova, Olga Aniskovtseva, Marina Volkova, Aigerim Alimkulova (sub Ramina Mamedova 73mins), Yekaterina Babshuk, Makhliyo Sarikova (sub Irina Birvagen 56mins), Francine Zuoga. Subs not used: Syuzanna Kornetsova, Aigerim Alimbozova, Ifeanyi Chiejine.

Arsenal: Emma Byrne, Alex Scott, Emma Mitchell, Katie Chapman, Gilly Flaherty, Steph Houghton, Danielle Carter (sub Gemma Davison 45mins), Jordan Nobbs (sub Caroline Weir 73mins), Ellen White (sub Freda Ayisi 82mins), Kim Little, Rachel Yankey. Subs not used: Cherie Rowlands, Yvonne Tracy, Jade Bailey, Carla Humphrey.
