Brighouse Town v City of Manchester
 Women's Football News 2 Nov 2013
F.A.Women's Cup - Road to the Final
City of Manchester were involved in another tight, high scoring tie as they won 5-4 against Burnley Girls & Ladies after extra time. Rachael Dunlop scored twice with Claire Young, Faye Dunlop and Zoey Shaw to earn their side a trip to Brighouse Town in the Third Round Qualifying.
Brighouse Town were formed as Kirklees Ladies in 1993 and are now re-established as part of Brighouse's 50th anniversary after linking up with them during the summer.
In 2010-11, Kirklees finished as runners-up to Lepton Highlanders in the West Riding County League and were promoted to the Southern Division of the North East League, where they have remained ever since. After finishing in fifth place in their first season in the new league, they went one better and ended up in fourth last term and have started off well this time around, currently lying in second place in the table with an unbeaten record so far. They have reached this stage of the competition with victories over CMB Ladies and Woolton.
The team is managed by Rob Mitchell and Claire Needham is club captain, whilst Sonya Sweeney is the current leading scorer. The club has a good partnership with Calderdale College, who are their official educational partner, and they are sponsored by Co-op and Clock Cars.
