Gillingham are three points ahead at the top of the Southern Division after running out 5-1 winners over Tottenham Hotspur.
Emma Tune kept up her recent good form in front of goal by netting twice and she was joined on the scoresheet by Charlotte Gurr, Amy Taylor and Lisa Fulgence with Wendy Martin replying for Spurs.
Cardiff City Ladies remain in second but lost a little ground on the Gills as they drew 3-3 with Charlton Athletic. Sarah Wiltshire converted from the penalty spot early on to give Cardiff the lead but Addicks captain Jenny Newman levelled the scores on the quarter hour. Two minutes before the interval, Wiltshire scored her second when latching onto Michelle Green's through ball. After the break, a brace of goals from Emma Harrison, the second coming two minutes from the end of normal time, looked to have given Charlton the points but Wiltshire was to have the final say and she salvaged a point for Cardiff in injury time when she scored another penalty to complete her hat-trick.
Coventry City maintained their recent improving form with a 3-1 victory away to West Ham Utd, which moves them to within one point of second placed Cardiff. Helen Dermody opened the scoring for the Sky Blues on 28 minutes and Destiney Toussaint increased their lead early in the second half. Kelley Blanchflower gave the Hammers hope as she halved the deficit - the first goal Coventry have conceded on their travels this season - but Dermody grabbed her second of the game to wrap up the win for the Sky Blues.
