In the solitary match to be played in the Southern Division, Keynsham Town and Coventry City battled out a thrilling 3-3 draw for a significant scoreline at both ends of the table.
Leanne Lapham gave Keynsham the lead direct from a corner which was cancelled out on the stroke of half time by an excellent strike from Hayley Ladd. Lapham put Keynsham back in front early in the second half but the Sky Blues hit back strongly, the impressive Destiney Toussaint heading in a Helen Dermody free kick and then Ashleigh Neville broke through to put them in front for the first time. A win would have taken Coventry second but in the dying minutes, Keynsham earned themselves a precious point when Vera Bernabe fired home following a goalmouth scramble from a free kick. Both teams produced a thoroughly entertaining match that not even an appalling refereeing display could ruin.
The top three in the Northern Division were not in league action on Sunday and the two teams immediately below them in the table met each other with Sporting Club Albion and Derby County battling out a 2-2 draw.
Kayleigh Griffiths and Louise Fellows netted the goals for Albion who led by two goals at one stage.
Leeds Utd meanwhile moved themselves closer to the mid-table positions, thanks to an important 3-1 victory away to Bradford City. Abbie McIver gave Leeds a 20th minute lead which was doubled by Hannah Campbell, before Sarah Danby pulled one back against her old club just before half time. McIver wrapped up the points for Leeds with her second goal late on.
