Keynsham Town are pleased to announce the signing of Olivera Markovic from ZFK Napredak.
Keynsham manager, Barrie Newton, was delighted to say that Olivera Markovic is a now a Keynsham Town player. "We have been tracking Olivera for some time through one of our scouts in Serbia and were very pleased that she agreed to sign for us on Thursday and that the league registration was finalised on Friday morning," he said.
"At 21 years of age, she has a real future in the game and has already proven herself for her national team at Under-17, Under-19 and full International level. Being two footed, Olivera is equally at home on either wing and has also played as a main striker for her former club.
"She has a great combination of pace, dribbling ability and scores goals, which I am sure will excite our supporters and assist us in our desire to consolidate at the highest level after last season's promotion. We have a good relationship with her former club and thank them for their cooperation, but our success in recruiting the player is certainly due to having the right person on the ground in Serbia.
"Furthermore, this would not have been possible without our new sponsorship from Slater Investments that we recently announced plus the continuing support of the management company, Brea Avalon at Keynsham. She will take time to acclimatise to the English game, but will go straight into our squad for tomorrow's home game with Cardiff City."
