Sheffield FC are back on top of the Northern Division following their 5-0 victory away to Newcastle Utd.
Lisa Giampalma opened the scoring for the Yorkshire side with Jodie Michalska adding a second just ahead of the half hour mark. Michalska made it three via a free kick early in the second half and Krystle Johnston added the fourth, before Michalska completed her hat-trick late on with what was also her 100th goal for the club.
Cardiff City Ladies moved themselves level on points with Southern Division leaders Gillingham by running out 5-0 winners at Keynsham Town. Sarah Wiltshire, Nicola Cousins and Louise Hutton ensured that a rampant Cardiff side were three goals ahead at the break and in the second half, Bethan Lloyd completed the scoring with two opportunist strikes. The margin of victory could have been greater with Cardiff hitting the woodwork three times and Kelly Aldridge having a goal disallowed.
Nottingham Forest gave themselves a great chance of reaching the knockout stages of the Premier League Cup, continuing their league form with a 3-1 victory over Derby County. Megan Howard and Annabel McKechnie put them ahead by half time and Taylor Thompson wrapped up the win with the third goal, twelve minutes from time.
One team that is definitely through is Lewes, who guaranteed themselves top spot in Group Four by beating Charlton Athletic 1-0. Catherine O'Hagan scored the only goal of the game with five minutes remaining to book the Rookettes' place in the next phase.
