Paul takes charge at Forest - 23 Nov 2013 - Women's Football NewsNottingham Forest are pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Cudby as First Team Manager.
Paul has previously worked with Coventry City and returns to women's football management after taking a break to support family and work commitments.
Forest Ladies' Director of Football, Lisa Dawkins was pivotal in the recruitment process and said: "We had impressive interest within a short space of time, but Paul was always a target. His experience, qualifications and his reputation has been substantiated but during lengthy discussions between me, Paul and the Forest Ladies committee he has demonstrated many qualities.
"We have known each other for a few years and believe to share similar philosophies. He has a strong mind yet importantly has the character to steer and galvanise the group of talent we have in the Senior squad."
Paul Cudby commented: "I'm humbled and delighted to be offered the first team manager's position at Nottingham Forest Ladies FC, the club has a strong history and has always been one I have had admiration and respect for. They are well run and have dedicated people working hard, plus to take over at a club where in terms of results they're flying, is an added bonus!
"Hopefully I can continue the good work already in place, and I'm looking forward to working with the senior squad and helping the club to continue to improve."
Communications Director PJ Andrews also endorsed the appointment: "The club has to quickly adapt to change and positively move forward. Paul fully understands where we are now and where we want to be and looks to be a great asset. He is central to delivering the club's' challenging ambitions and will be fully supported to do so.
"Structures will be put in place over the coming weeks to strengthen further and to build on the footprints that previous players, managers, coaches and volunteers have left on the club."
Paul met with the squad on Thursday night and will travel with the first team when they play Bradford City on Sunday.
