Ward spearheads comfortable Welsh win
 Women's Football News 24 Nov 2013
Montenegro 0 Wales 3 (Keryakoplis 31, Ward pen 69,77)
Wales registered their second win in three games in the FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying tournament in Niksic on Saturday afternoon.
A 3-0 scoreline did not reflect how well Wales played on the dayand they could have scored more whilst the home side could only muster one shot on goal in the entire match.
At half time, Wales had a 1-0 advantage, thanks to a goal on 31 minutes from Hannah Keryakoplis, the young striker netting her third goal for her country.
In the second half two more came from prolific striker Helen Ward. The first came from the penalty spot after she had been fouled on 69 minutes and then a second on 77 minutes - taking her international tally to 32 goal in 52 appearances - to wrap the game up.
The win puts second placed Wales three points ahead of the chasing pack, with England still top of the group. The second spot would be good enough for a play-off place at the end of the qualifiers.
There are now no further qualifying matches until early April of next year, when Jarmo Matikainen's side play a double header of matches against Turkey and Ukraine.
