Nettleham are more than happy to play the role of underdogs when they take on Copsewood (Coventry) in the F.A.Women's Cup First Round this Sunday.
The East Midlands League travel to play the Midland Combination leaders and manager Paul Durrands told Women's Soccer Scene: "I am really looking forward to our FA Cup tie on Sunday against Midland Combination high flyers Copsewood (Coventry). The standard that our opponents are at is the level I am aspiring to get Nettleham to.
"I have several of my players who have the experience of this level and a few who have played even higher, so along with a few young and very inexperienced girls, I have a "cocktail" that could surprise a few people. We'll have to be at our very best to progress further in this competition, but I don't fear the opposition as I have confidence in my own team's ability.
"We are the underdogs in this tie, which "suits me down to the ground" and all the expectation is on Copsewood Coventry."
Nettleham vice captain Katie Davison added: "We are really looking forward to the game, and to be making club history for the second time this season. As a club we have never got this far in the FA Cup so we have no fear, and will play with passion and commitment as we do every game. Coventry are the clear favourites but with the mixture of youth and experience we have on our side there is no reason why we can't spring a surprise."
