Doncaster Rovers Belles enjoyed their annual pre-season Boot Camp on the weekend of 4th and 5th of January thanks to the generous hospitality of Ramada Encore Doncaster.
The hotel, based close to Doncaster's Robin Hood Airport, played host to the two day training camp, where the squad engaged in a number of activities. The weekend began with a dinner buffet prepared by Ramada staff, which was well received by players and staff alike. The Belles contingent then headed to one of Ramada's meeting rooms where Head Coach Gordon Staniforth delivered a number of activities including a detailed presentation, some group tasks and a football based quiz.
After a relaxing night's sleep in Ramada's stylish bedrooms, the squad were abruptly woken at 6.30am with only fifteen minutes prepare themselves for the morning. At 6.45am, the team congregated outside the hotel and completed some team building exercises before the physical test began. Following some long distance running and sprints, the team were led through a circuit of exercises, before tackling the log and tyre carrying. Some more running followed before the squad returned to the hotel. Before indulging in the freshly prepared breakfast, the team took time to have a photo with Ramada Encore's Deputy General Manager Stuart Breen.
The club would like to extend a warm thanks to Ramada Encore Doncaster for their fantastic hospitality over the course of last season and for this highly enjoyable weekend. All agreed that the weekend was a resounding success, and this was largely due to the excellent care Ramada Encore offered to the squad.
