Notts County have signed New Zealand full back Anna Green.
Green currently plays in the Australian W-League for Sydney FC who currently sit undefeated in second, two points off top but with a game in hand.
The defender progressed through to the New Zealand Under 20 squad, appearing in the 2008 U-20 World Cup aged just 17, before appearing again at the U-20 World Cup two years later, eventually working her way up to captain.
Anna has also featured in two Olympics, being selected for both the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2012 London Olympics
Green made her senior international debut in 2006 against China, going on to make a further 55 appearances so far, scoring seven times.
Anna is excited to make the move to Nottingham, "I've heard really good things about Rick (Passmoor), and seeing the signings that have already been made it's very exciting. I'm joining a team, which is really important for me, a team that play together and I've only heard good things about Notts County. I'm really excited to get going."
Having had friends play in the league, Anna says she's always kept an eye on the FAWSL "I've got a couple of friends who have played in the league so I've always followed the league closely. It's great to now have the opportunity to play in England for Notts County, hopefully we can have a very successful season."
Anna will join up with the rest of the squad, including fellow Football Fern Katie Hoyle, after the Cyprus Cup in mid March.
