Leicester City Women booked their place in the semi finals of the Reserve Section League Cup by winning 3-0 away to Tottenham Hotspur. After Tottenham had struck the bar early on, Leicester took the lead on the quarter hour when Lottie Tatum scored direct from a corner. Amy Mullett made two good saves as Spurs looked to get back on level terms and the game remained in the balance until the final ten minutes, when substitute Katie Lowder netted twice to seal the victory and send her side through.
Leicester will have to wait and see who their opponents in the last four will be due to the other quarter final between Cardiff City Ladies and Coventry City having been postponed.
Sheffield FC narrowed the gap on Northern Division table toppers Bradford City to a single point after they defeated Derby County 4-3. Derby did lead at half time through a Dayna Randall goal but early second half strikes from Amy Beanland and Jodie Michalska turned things around. Randall levelled matters midway through the second half but Jess Heald and Michalska added further goals to secure the points for the Yorkshire side, despite a late reply from Cecilia Webb.
The other scheduled matches over the weekend all fell by the wayside and were victims of the weather.
