Full back Rachel Unitt has left Birmingham City having opted to not renew her contract for the 2014 FA Women's Super League.
The England international, who was ruled out of the bulk of 2013 with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, has been in talks over a new deal since the expiration of her contract back in November. However, the 31-year-old has decided to explore a fresh challenge elsewhere in the FA WSL.
Walsall-born Unitt joined Blues in February 2012 after eight years with Everton. During her time in the second city, Unitt, who has chalked up 100 caps for her country, lifted the 2012 FA Women's Cup and helped Blues to finish runners up in the FA WSL and Continental Cup in the same year.
Elsewhere, the club can confirm that an undisclosed offer has been accepted for midfielder Issy Christiansen and the 22-year-old is currently in talks with another FA WSL club.
