East Midlands League
Solar Ladies secured the Division One North title on Sunday with a 1-0 victory over Mansfield Hosiery Mills. Toni McHamilton scored the only goal of the game to take the Grimsby-based side beyond the reach of their rivals.
North East League
Hull City suffered a setback in their Premier Division title challenge as they went down to a 2-0 defeat at home to York City. Lauren Shuttleworth and Jasmine Whitwell both got on the scoresheet to give third placed York a victory which sees them narrow the gap on the top two but keeps Norton & Stockton Ancients five points clear at the top of the table.
In the Northern Division, Birtley Town doubled their points tally when holding mid-table Redcar Athletic to a 2-2 draw. Chelsea Easton, from the penalty spot, and Christina Adamson were on target for Birtley with Redcar replying through Tara Ball and Amy Guy.
Brighouse Town stepped up their title challenge in the Southern Division by running out 6-2 winners away to Doncaster Belles (Women's). Chloe Roberts, Sonya Sweeney and Rachael White each scored twice for Brighouse who move into second place, six points behind leaders Wetherby Athletic but with three games in hand.
North West League
All of the scheduled league matches fell victim to the weather on Sunday but two matches did manage to go ahead in the League Plate.
Manchester City A made it through to the Third Round with a 2-1 victory over Penrith AFC and in the other game, Stockport County Res won 4-0 away to Woolton thanks to a Jess Battle hat-trick plus a goal from Kath Jones.
South West League
In the solitary match in the league to survive the weather, Weymouth Town moved out of the bottom two of the Premier Division by beating Cleeve West Town 2-1. Georgia Rogers and Claudia Guida netted the goals for Weymouth with the Somerset side replying through Samantha Crew.
