Two more join London Bees - 8 Feb 2014 - Women's Football NewsLondon Bees are delighted to announce the signings of Lily Agg and Dawn Mallett.
Lily Agg (pictured, left) joins from Brighton & Hove Albion having been named the Seagulls player of the season during their last campaign.
The 20-year-old, who hails from Eastbourne, thoroughly enjoyed her time with Brighton but explained her motives behind the move to The Hive were so she could play at the highest level.
Utility player Dawn Mallett arrives from Stoke City and is able to play up top or in midfield bringing yet another option for the Bees as they look ahead to the 2014 campaign.
Mallett began her career at the Norwich City Centre of Excellence before moving to Crewe Alexandra and then Arsenal where she featured for the Under-19 and Under-21 sides. She has also turned out for Northampton, Cambridge United and Stoke City winning the treble with the Potters in the 2012-13 season.
After putting pen to paper Mallet revealed that when the opportunity came along the decision to join was simple. "When the opportunity came along it wasn't a hard decision to make," she explained. "The facilities and staffing team at The Hive are of the highest quality available at professional level.
"The atmosphere is ideal for any determined and competitive player who wants to enjoy the game and ultimately progress. The club is moving in the right direction and with everything they have in place I am looking forward to 2014."
