Kent FA announces new partnership
 Women's Football News 14 Feb 2014
The Kent FA is proud to announce Soccer Elite FA will become the county's official Women and Girls football partners for the rest of the season.
The professional football academy will be sponsoring the Kent FA Women's Cup and Plate to be held on Thursday 10th April and Wednesday 2nd April respectively.
As official partners of the Women and Girl's game, Soccer Elite FA will be supporting the Kent FA's grass roots development work around the women's game, providing coaching for the Kent FA's Player Development Centre for Girls (PDC).
With Kent FA holders of the licence for a FA PDC, Kent has formed its centre under a three way partnership with Kent FA, the Gallagher Stadium and Soccer Elite FA. The Gallagher Stadium has been a fantastic venue for girls in the county to train on and they are expertly taught by Soccer Elite's coaches.
Each age group has two coaches that are trained in that key age group and these coaches have produced a high standard training session programme for their individual groups to ensure all areas of the game are covered and players have an understanding of what is required of them to progress further. Soccer Elite FA coaches will also be present when the girls take part in festivals against other PDC's.
Lee Spiller, Director of Coaching and Co-Founder of Soccer Elite FA was delighted to sign up to the partnership agreement with the Kent FA: "We are delighted to support the Kent FA and continue our great relationship by becoming official Women and Girls football partners. We're excited for the range of events and cup final occasions coming up for women and girl's football in Kent and look forward to working with the Kent FA to further develop this growing area of the game."
Chief Executive Paul Dolan explained how the Kent FA's partnership with Soccer Elite FA, further supports the growth of women and girl's football in the county: "It's exciting for us to be able to announce a Women and Girls football partner, it is an important step in the development of the Women and Girl's game in Kent. We're delighted Soccer Elite FA will sponsor both our Women's Cup Competitions.
"Not only that, but Soccer Elite FA will be supporting other areas of work we're undertaking to grow the women and girls game. With some exciting events coming up this year besides our cup finals; including our first Women and Girls Football week and Roadshow, it will be rewarding to have this partnership to support, promote and grow all the work going on."
To further mark the development of the Women's and Girl's game in the county, the Kent FA is also pleased to announce that following an impressive attendance to last year's Kent FA Women's Cup Final, the finale of this year's competition will be hosted at Maidstone's Gallagher Stadium.
Additionally, Helen Grant, Minister for Sport, Tourism & Equalities and MP for Maidstone and the Weald, is provisionally confirmed to attend the Kent FA Women's Cup final subject to her Ministerial and Parliamentary commitments.
