Leicester City Women were unable to take an opportunity to go second in the Midland Division table as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Loughborough Students. Grace Blackburn was on target for the students.
In the Southern Division, second placed Brighton & Hove Albion narrowed the gap on leaders Charlton Athletic to six points by winning 4-0 away to Portsmouth. Cherelle Khassal scored twice for the Seagulls, either side of half time, and they went on to wrap up the victory with further strikes from Amy Potkins and Isabelle Burt.
Notts County lifted themselves up into mid-table in the FA WSL Development League Northern Division with a 3-1 victory over Sunderland. Kyla Love, Laura-Jane O'Neill and Emily Roberts scored the goals for the Magpies after Jane Riddell had given Sunderland an early lead.
Southern Division table toppers Chelsea lost their 100% record as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Reading Women. Rebekah Haines was on the scoresheet for the Royals while Chelsea now head the table by a single point from Arsenal, who did not play. Meanwhile Oxford Utd registered their first victory of the season, 4-2 against Watford. Danielle Anderson was on target twice for the U's along with Stacey Coles and Laura Allsop.
