The Merseyside derby match ended with honours even but did return Mossley Hill to the top of the table following their 1-1 draw with Liverpool Feds, who also remain in the running. Megan Brodie scored from the penalty spot for Mossley, who have moved a point ahead of second placed Stockport County, while the Feds earned a share of the spoils through Debbie Hancock and they are now seven points off the pace, with three games in hand.
Loughborough Students' chances of challenging for the runners-up position were dealt a severe blow as they were beaten 6-1 by Rotherham Utd, who have moved level on points with them in third place. Nat Shaw hit a hat-trick for Rotherham along with a Grace Birchall brace and Jess Birtles, while Laura Williams grabbed a consolation for the home side.
South West Combination
Exeter City played their first league match since 8th December and it turned out to be a successful one, notching up a 2-1 victory away to Shanklin. Tasha Knapman scored both goals for Exeter, who can still get themselves amongst the front runners in the league by winning their games in hand.
