Durham Women Football Club are proud to have established a partnership with leading educational recruitment company Vision For Education.
The partnership will see Vision For Education become the Clubs main sponsor and see the partnership deliver coaching for young females into North East schools as well as talks on healthy living, player Q & A sessions and encouraging the girls to get involved with the sport.
Schools will get involved in regular tournaments with the players becoming managers for the day! And presentations being held at half time during the club's FA WSL home games.
The first tournaments on April 1st and 3rd will see the winners/runners-up taking to the field in the North Easts first ever FA WSL game when Durham take on local rivals Sunderland in the Wildcats v Black Cats game.
Vision For Education regional manager Liam Roberts said: "We were delighted when Durham WFC approached us to form a partnership for the season ahead. We see this as an opportunity to encourage girls in the region to increase participation in sport that is so important to people in the North East. We will be working closely with schools throughout the region to maximise the impact the club can have in achieving this."
Vision For Education owner Darren McLaney added: "The prospect of working alongside Durham Women FC is one that fits very well with our company's ethos. This partnership forms part of our continued commitment to improving the opportunities to young people in the region. We take our role in schools and the wider community very seriously and we are very proud to be part of this at such an exciting time for both the sport and young people in the North East."
