Late goal denies England
 Women's Football News 3 Mar 2014
An added time goal denied England victory over Sweden in their opening match of the La Manga Tournament.
Everton youngster Nikita Parris, who helped the Under-19s win a silver medal at last year's European Championship finals, gave England the lead on 75 minutes.
That looked to be enough to hand the Lionesses an opening day win but a late equaliser prevented them from collecting all three points.
Their second game is against Germany on Monday, followed by Japan on Wednesday.
England: Mary Earps, Martha Harris, Rachel Daly, Sherry McCue (sub Drew Spence 80mins), Jemma Rose, Jaz Matthews, Nikita Parris (sub Freda Ayisi 80mins), Laura Coombs, Danielle Carter, Isobel Christiansen (sub Melissa Lawley 62mins), Francesca Kirby. Subs not used: Megan Walsh, Amy Turner, Bianca Bragg, Kirsty Linnett.
