Combination Leagues round-up...
 Women's Football News 7 Mar 2014
Northern Combination
The title race intensified further on Sunday as Huddersfield Town stepped up their challenge with a 5-1 victory over Liverpool Feds. Emily Heckler scored twice for Huddersfield and she was joined on the scoresheet by Alice Linsell, Debbie Hastings and Kate Mallin.
Tranmere Rovers made it four wins on the trot when beating Wakefield 2-1. Beth Woolley netted both goals for Tranmere who are now on the coat tails of the leading pack.
Midland Combination
Rotherham Utd kept themselves in the running for the runners-up position after they defeated Solihull Ladies 2-0. Amy Pollock netted both goals for Rotherham, in the opening fifteen minutes of the second half, to lift her side into third place.
Leicester City Ladies moved up just behind Rotherham and into fourth, thanks to a 4-2 victory away to Loughborough Foxes. Sam Clarke, Kayleigh Hillier, Linda Scott and Rebekah Preston were on target for Leicester with Nancy Miles and Lindsey Tugby replying.
South East Combination
The top two in the league met each other on Sunday and things remain the same in the title race after Queen's Park Rangers and C & K Basildon shared a 1-1 draw. Stacey Sowden had given Rangers the lead with C & K equalising late on through Zoe Rushen (see match report).
The result did allow third placed Milton Keynes Dons to make up ground on the teams above them, courtesy of a 1-0 success away to Cambridge Women. Emily Mann grabbed the only goal of the game for the Dons who still have an outside chance if they can keep winning their remaining matches,
Norwich City suffered a setback to their hopes as they went down to a 1-0 defeat at home to Enfield Town. The Canaries were playing their first league match since December and have several games in hand on the top side but it was improving Enfield who recorded a fine victory, courtesy of a strike from Regan Coleman.
Denham Utd occupy the mid-table position following their 3-0 victory away to Luton Town. Alissa Down, Elishia Allen and Sian McCrindle scored the goals for Denham who are having a good first season in the league.
Ipswich Town moved above Ebbsfleet Utd in the table after beating them 2-0. Danielle Bitten opened the scoring for Ipswich and Michelle Allum wrapped up the win with the second goal.
South West Combination
League leaders Swindon Town received a huge blow to their title hopes as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Exeter City. Catherine Wright and Helen Kukor scored the goals for Exeter who have moved themselves into the title race, having dropped the fewest number of points of any team in the league at present.
Larkhall Athletic are just one point off second place after running out 9-1 winners over University of Portsmouth. Saphri Lines marked her debut for the club by bagging a hat-trick and there was one apiece from Michelle Munro, Emily Harrington, Ali Davis, Nicki O'Connell, Kate German and Carly Symons.
