The semi final line up in the Premier League Cup was finally confirmed after the two remaining quarter final ties were played on Sunday.
Northern Division leaders Sheffield FC kept up their quest for a league and cup 'double' by winning 2-1 away to Bradford City. However it took late drama to take Helen Mitchell's side through to the last four after Bradford had led for most of the game through Rachel Lee's first half strike. As the game went into injury time, first Lynn Goodman equalised for Sheffield and moments later, Leanne De Silva snatched a winning goal to take Sheffield through.
Sheffield's opponents in the semi finals will be Preston North End, who notched up a fine 1-0 victory against Nottingham Forest. Gemma Watson scored the only goal of the game to take Preston into the last four for the first time in their history. Meanwhile Forest's defeat now ensures that there will be two brand new finalists in this season's competition.
