Watford up for Sunderland challenge
 Women's Football News 15 Mar 2014
Watford resume their FA Women's Cup campaign on Sunday, travelling to fellow FAWSL2 side Sunderland for their Fourth Round tie.
It will be the second match in the competition for Watford after a 5-1 win at West Ham in the previous round.
Last season saw Watford and Sunderland share the spoils in two tightly contested league games, as they battled to finish first in the Premier League National Division.
Watford manager John Salomon realises his side are in for a test on Sunday: "We know we are in for a very tough game, Sunderland were outstanding last season and deservedly won the league.
"We did very well to get two draws against them last season, but we had to work incredibly hard for those results and Sunday will be no different."
Recent pre-season performances have been impressive and will see the side go into the game at the Hetton Centre full of confidence.
"I'm really pleased with our preparation," explains Salomon. "We played a game behind closed doors last weekend and that game has given the players a huge boost going into this weekend's match.
"Everyone is very positive at the moment. The players are working exceptionally hard and they are really starting to come together again as the unified force that produced consistent, high standard performances last season." (Chris Smith)
