Charlton Athletic stepped up their title challenge with a 3-2 local derby win away to West Ham Utd which takes them amongst the pack of clubs now in the chase.
However for much of the game it looked as though the Hammers would be in control of matters as they twice took the lead during the first half, both goals scored by Sarah McCrea. Kit Graham had replied for the Addicks but the Hammers held on until the last five minutes when Stef Simmons levelled the scores once again. When the game went into injury time, Graham grabbed her second goal to give Charlton a precious win and although they stay in fifth place, they are now just three points behind the leaders.
Tottenham Hotspur are back up into mid-table following their 5-1 victory over Chesham Utd, whose position is looking more precarious by the week. Lucia Leon netted two of the goals for Spurs and she was joined on the scoresheet by Andrea Marcoci, Robyn Downie and Wendy Martin with Chesham's consolation coming from Natalie Adams.
Keynsham Town are out of the bottom two after they defeated Lewes 3-0. Recent signing Pilar Garcia marked her home debut by scoring twice and Rafaela Silva added the other goal to earn Keynsham their second win in three matches.
