A tenth minute goal from Dominique Hoad has taken Bradford City three points clear at the top of the Northern Division with a 1-0 victory over Huddersfield Town. Only Nottingham Forest can now finish above them and they kept up their challenge by beating Leeds Utd 2-0, Elizabeta Ejupi giving them the lead with Sarah Richardson adding the second late on.
Brighton & Hove Albion ensured they will finish on top of the Southern Division after they picked up the point they required from a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur. Portsmouth secured a top three place by winning 4-0 away to Gillingham. Hannah Read and Katie James put Pompey two ahead at the break and they went on to add further goals through Deanna Taylor and Ellie Crabb.
Aston Villa have gone three points clear at the top of the FA WSL Development League Northern Division. Natasha Baptiste netted twice and Mariah McIntosh the other as they won 3-1 against Liverpool, whose consolation came from Hannah Dale. Everton moved level on points with second placed Manchester City by beating them 4-2, thanks to a Caitlin Hayes brace, Millie Turner and Kerri Welsh. Georgia Brougham scored both goals for City. Aileen Whelan (2), Sophie Haywood, Amy Kay and Laura-Jane O'Neill were all on the scoresheet as Notts County ran out 5-0 winners over Durham Women and Sunderland beat Birmingham City 3-1.
In the Southern Division, Arsenal's 7-0 victory at Watford has seen them open up a lead of four points. Bianca Bragg scored twice for the Gunners along with Freda Ayisi, Carla Humphrey, Frances Steele, Megan Ryan and an own goal. Second placed Chelsea drew 1-1 with London Bees, who netted through Bridie Davies. Bristol Academy have climbed up into third place after beating Watford 4-1, goals coming from Samantha Quayle, Alex Hurst, Rhian Cleverly and Alys Hinchcliffe. Yeovil Town meanwhile won for the first time, 2-0 against Oxford Utd with Grace Rapp and Stephanie Beck on the scoresheet.
