Nottingham Forest closed the gap on Northern Division leaders Sheffield FC to a single point after coming from behind to beat Leeds Utd 3-2.
However they had to do it the hard way as Emily Starkie gave Leeds a deserved first half advantage which she doubled when scoring her second four minutes into the second half. Kelly Kennaugh gave Forest renewed hope when she pulled a goal back and Megan Howard levelled with six minutes left, then as the game went into injury time, Amber Hughes scored a decisive third to break Leeds' hearts and keep her team's title hopes alive.
Bradford City are up into fifth place, their highest position of the season, following their 2-0 victory away to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Paige Crosby fired Bradford into a first half lead and Caroline Omboyi wrapped up the win with the second goal on the 64 minute mark.
Blackburn Rovers meanwhile picked up a 2-0 win at Derby County which takes them back off the bottom of the table at the expense of Wolves. Rovers went ahead after five minutes through Nichol Forster and Keira Walsh sealed the points with the second goal, early in the second half.
