A late goal from Mari Griffiths gave Newcastle Emlyn a 4-3 victory over Caernarfon Town, who remain at the foot of the Shared Access Welsh Premier Women's League.
Caernarfon had taken a first half lead through Shan Jones which had been cancelled out by Angharad Jenkins but, within eight minutes of the restart, Jones had netted twice more to complete her hat-trick and put the Cofis in control of the game. However, Stacey John pulled one back for the home side five minutes later and Jenkins scored an equaliser, before Griffiths struck two minutes from time to break Caernarfon hearts and help Newcastle Emlyn set their sights on a top half place.
Llanidloes and Wrexham meanwhile battled out a 1-1 draw which keeps both teams in mid-table. Both goals came in the first half, Ash Hayes giving Wrexham a ninth minute lead with Lowri Savage earning Llanidloes a share of the spoils ten minutes before half time.
On Friday night, Cardiff City FC moved back into second place in the table by winning 2-0 away to Port Talbot Town. After a goalless first half, Alicia Davies gave City the lead three minutes after the restart and Erin Murray wrapped up the win with the second goal.
