Yeovil Town 4 (Cook 36, Pearson 40,46,72) London Bees 1 (Wakefield 58)
Stacey Pearson scored a hat-trick to give Yeovil Town their first ever FA WSL victory at Sherborne.
In a match played on a heavy pitch and in a torrential downpour, the hosts had goalkeeper Rachel Simkin to thank for producing a stunning double save to firstly deny Sydney Hinchcliffe and then Lucy Loomes on the rebound on 25 minutes. Ten minutes later, Yeovil edged ahead as Katie Cook slotted home from close range before Pearson headed in her first on 40 minutes.
She was on target again shortly after the break after the Bees' defence failed to clear their lines following a corner.
While the Bees pulled a goal back on 58 minutes through Wakefield, who headed powerfully in from a corner, Yeovil restored their three-goal lead when Pearson pounced after Polly Wardle's effort was saved by Bees' keeper Sophie Harris.
