![]() This week, the girls turn their concentration into preparing for the FA Women's Premier League Cup final against Sheffield FC this coming Sunday at Burton Albion FC, kick off at 2.30pm. After seeing the reserve team lose out on a penalty shootout in their League Cup final, the Welsh side go into their match determined to bring the cup into Wales for the very first time. The Cardiff girls make history by being the first Welsh side to make an English FA Cup final. As well as preparing for the final, Lauren Townsend and Cori Williams, along with Zoe Atkins who played in the Reserve League Cup final last weekend, will be working on other aspects of the club this week as they work for the Social Enterprise arm of the club "Women with Balls" created in partnership with Vi-Ability Jobs Growth Wales as part of an educational programme. Cardiff have secured links with Macron for next season and they have kitted the girls out in warm up tops for the final. Ray Pennock Sales Director of the Neath Macron Store said: "Its great to be associated with Cardiff City Ladies and to see the success that the girls are having not just their senior women's team but throughout the whole club, which is focused on the development of the girls and the game in general. We wish the girls every success in the final." Cardiff captain Kayleigh Green added: "To reach the League Cup Final is massive for the club, the players are very excited for the game and can't wait to experience the whole occasion. We have come a long way this season as a team, that is reflected in our league position. Now every player wants to play in the final so we are all working very hard to get that shirt and put on a performance that deserves a winning medal. "As the captain I can't wait to lead the team out in the final and I'm sure ourselves and Sheffield will provide a quality game of football and put on a performance that is worthy of a final for the travelling supporters of both teams."
