Coventry City completed a hat-trick of successes in the Birmingham County Women's Cup with a 4-0 victory over local rivals Copsewood (Coventry) in the Final at the Bescot Stadium.
City started the game strongly with Natasha Lynch and Helen Dermody both going close but Copsewood settled down and Jodie McGuckin fired a shot narrowly over the bar.
It was the Sky Blues who opened the scoring on the half hour mark, Dermody threading a pass to Ashleigh Neville who cut inside and planted a shot past Nikki Duncan and into the corner of the net.
The game remained well balanced going into half time but early in the second half, City went two ahead when Destiney Toussaint intercepted a back pass and rounded Duncan before slotting home.
The third goal came ten minutes later via a fine move, Natalie Brace breaking down the right and her pass was laid off by Dermody for Karen Clough to finish clinically.
Copsewood worked hard to try and get themselves back into the game but City's well drilled defence again looked strong and the Midland Combination Champions found it difficult to break them down.
City rounded off the scoring with five minutes left, Hayley Ladd's pass finding Dermody who scored the goal her performance deserved with an angled shot.
