The chase for the runners-up position in the Shared Access Welsh Premier Women's League is still on after the two contenders both registered victories on Sunday. Cardiff City FC currently sit in second place but have completed their fixtures following their 5-0 win over Caernarfon Town. Danielle Green hit a first half hat-trick to put City in control of matters and midway through the second half, Emily Jellings and Sadie Harry added further goals to give their side a successful end to their campaign. PILCS look to be favourites to finish above them though and will have three chances to overtake them following their 4-1 victory over Swansea City. Lyndsey Davies and Katrina French ensured they led by two goals inside the opening twenty minutes and Davies netted her second goal after the break. Jodie Passmore reduced the arrears for the Swans but Davies completed her hat-trick and rounded off the victory with ten minutes remaining. PILCS have their first opportunity to claim the runners-up spot on Wednesday night when they play away to Llanidloes. Champions Cardiff Met Ladies ended their magnificent season in ruthless fashion, scoring thirteen times past Newcastle Emlyn without reply and passing the 100-goal mark in the process. Joni Warner set them on their way with a third minute strike with Emily Brown, Robyn Pinder and Emily Allen adding further goals before the half hour mark. The students more doubled that tally ahead of the break, Brown netting her second and Ellie Sargent a brace, with Laura Walkley also getting on the scoresheet before Brown completed her hat-trick on the stroke of half time. In the second half, Sargent netted two more to round off a four-goal haul and Allen scored her second, with Sophie Scherschel also getting on the scoresheet.
