Reserve Section Leagues round-up...
 Women's Football News 22 May 2014
The final match of the season in the Premier League Reserve Section was played on Sunday, in the Northern Division where Leeds Utd and Newcastle Utd battled out a 1-1 draw. Newcastle's goal came from Siobhan Jones but it is Leeds who finish marginally the higher in the table, securing fourth place for themselves.
Aston Villa moved to within three points of Northern Division leaders Manchester City in the FA WSL Development League with a 4-2 victory over Notts County. Sunderland meanwhile are coming with a late run and are a further two points adrift, with a game in hand, following their 8-2 victory against Doncaster Rovers Belles. Sophie Williams led the scoring for the Wearsiders with a hat-trick, Bianca Owens weighed in with a brace and there was one apiece from Elizabeth McCubbin, Ellie Dobson and Shannon Etherington. Mollie Green and Beth Donoghue were on target, with Danielle Sheen replying, as Liverpool edged out Everton 2-1 in their local derby meeting. Durham Women registered their first league victory of the season, 3-1 against Birmingham City courtesy of an Alex Saunders hat-trick.
Southern Division table toppers Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw by Chelsea. Chloe Kelly and Evie Clarke scored the goals for the Gunners whose lead was trimmed to six points by Millwall Lionesses, who defeated Reading Women 1-0 thanks to a late strike from Rebecca Stormer. Bristol Academy meanwhile moved up to third place by beating London Bees 4-1. Vera Bernabe Payol bagged a brace along with Ellie Curson and Kate Evans, with the Bees' consolation coming from Bridie Davies. Yeovil Town notched up a 5-1 victory over Watford with a goal apiece from Justine Lorton-Radburn, Amy Wathan, Jordan Guard, Jodi Cornwall and Jessie Boston.
