Oxford trio run Blenheim triathlon
 Women's Football News 12 Jun 2014
Oxford United may currently be on a mid-season break from their debut FA WSL 2 campaign, but they're certainly not taking it easy during their month off.
Amy Chivers, Holly Pickett and Kat Nutman took part in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Research Blenheim Palace Traithlon on Saturday, teaming up to take on the sprint relay event.
The U's stars finished 61st out of 130 competitors in their event, which combined swimming (Chivers), cycling (Pickett) and running (Nutman), finishing in an hour and 36 minutes.
Midfielder Kat Nutman said: "We were kind of worried before that we wouldn't even finish but we did pretty well. We ended up in the top half out of everyone taking part, so we did pretty well.
"It was a really good event, I think everyone had fun. It was challenging obviously but the girls all enjoyed it and we got to do something for charity, so it was good. I'd do the run again, but I wasn't envious of Amy doing the swim, I think I would have drowned!"
