Sarah Wiltshire admitted that the result was the most important thing in Wales' 1-0 victory over Belarus at Haverfordwest.
The Watford striker scored the only goal of the game to keep Wales in line for a World Cup play-off place and she told Women's Soccer Scene afterwards: "The main thing is that we won and kept a clean sheet, which was good, so we're happy.
"We knew that Turkey have improved since we beat them 5-1 last time so it was always going to be a bit harder, but we did the job and that's the main thing."
Wales could have won by more on the day but had to settle for Sarah's first half strike. "I remember Angharad (James) passing the ball, I think I was stretching for it and just got there," she recalled.
"We had a few other chances and would have liked to have scored more but we're happy with the win."
Now Wales must turn their attention to the long trip to Belarus for another crucial match on Thursday. "We know that Belarus are very strong so we are going to have to be on top of our game," said Sarah. "The aim is to hold on to second place, to keep it going."
