Yeovil capture Ellie signature - 22 Jun 2014 - Women's Football NewsYeovil Town have signed Welsh international and former Bristol Academy player Ellie Curson. 
 
Ellie Curson started her football journey at Welsh club Mardy Tigers before being a part of Bristol Academy's Centre of Excellence and then signing WSL forms for the first team.
 
The 20-year-old is a player who can play across midfield or as a striker. She joins the club during the mid-season break, with the next WSL2 fixture away at Sunderland on 28th June.
 
Ellie commented: "I'm really pleased to be signing for Yeovil and am excited for the challenge ahead! A fresh start was needed and I believe that Yeovil is the place where I can develop and grow as a WSL player.
 
"The club, manager and all the players have been really welcoming and I have been really impressed by the team ethos. I can't wait for the second half of the season to begin."

Yeovil manager Sarah Lawler said: "We are delighted to have signed Ellie. She is a hard working and exciting player who will offer lots to the squad. As always, our ethos is about achieving by unity and I am confident that Ellie will do just that.
 
"The squad is looking very strong and I am excited to see how the team perform in the second half of the season. We are looking forward to Ellie being a part of this terrific squad and are counting down the days to our next two away fixtures, followed by our next home game on 12th July."

Club Chairman David Mills, pictured with Ellie, added: "We welcome Ellie to the club and hope she enjoys being a part of this ambitious team. It's a great signing for us."
 
The Glovers season re-starts away on 28th June when the ladies take on a strong Sunderland side. The first home game back at the Jones Stadium will be on Saturday 12th July against FA WSL 1 side Notts County at 5pm in the Continental Cup.
