England 1 (Walker 36) Republic of Ireland 2 (McCarthy 57, Keenan 86)
England are on the brink of an early exit from the UEFA Under-19 Championship Finals after two second half goals condemned them to defeat in Mjondalen.
England had the better of the first half and took the lead nine minutes before half time when captain Claudia Walker headed in from close range to register their first goal of the competition.
However after the break, Savannah McCarthy brought Republic of Ireland back on level terms and with four minutes left on the clock, substitute Keeva Keenan headed home the winning goal to give her side their second straight win.
The result leaves Republic of Ireland needing to avoid defeat to Sweden in order to guarantee themselves top spot in Group B, whilst England require nothing less than a victory against Spain whilst hoping that the Irish can do them a favour.
