Anna Signeul has named a 25-player squad for Scotland's friendly match against Wales in Dumfries on Sunday 3rd August, as preparations continue for the crucial FIFA Women's World Cup 2015 double header against Faroe Islands and Sweden in September.
The national coach has selected an expanded squad for the match against Wales, including five uncapped players.
Kathryn Hill (Rangers) and Kerry Montgomery (Spartans) have been called up to the women's A squad for the first time. Goalkeeper Rachel Harrison (Spartans) has been included after attending a training camp in January. She is joined by Rangers' Khym Ramsay, who returns for the first time since her inclusion in the squad for a friendly match against Iceland in August 2012. Hibernian defender Kirsty Smith, who also attended the January training camp, is also included.
Scotland are currently level on points with Sweden, who have a game in hand, at the top of FIFA Women's World Cup Qualifying Group Four. The group winners qualify directly for the Finals in Canada next year, with the four best runners-up from the European qualifying groups going into the play-offs.
Scotland face the Faroe Islands at Fir Park, Motherwell, on Saturday 13th September, and travel to Gothenburg for the final group match against Sweden four days later.
