![]() As hosts of Group Four, City welcome the Champions of Ukraine, Zhilstroy-1, the Champions of Slovakia, FC Union Nove Zamky and the Champions of Northern Ireland, Glentoran to Scotland for the Europe's most elite club competition. Only the group winners are guaranteed to progress to the knock-out stages and as the host nation, City are hoping the coverage and backing of our national stars in the Commonwealth Games can extend to their matches in a few days' time. Glasgow City Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black said: "As hosts, we are looking to pull as many advantages as we can and this means being able to utilise not only our full squad but also a number of our youth players to help us manage the hectic match schedule. You can really start to feel the buzz around the club now, especially with some of our new players who you can hear asking their team mates what it is like, what to expect and so on. "It is exciting for everyone the Champions League and off the back off the Commonwealth Games, I really hope the support we have seen for our athletes continues and people can come along and back us for these massive games." For Glasgow City and Northern Ireland international stopper Julie Nelson, the second match of the group against Glentoran adds an extra bit of interest. She said: "I am really looking forward to the group. We have a tough draw and of course with Glentoran, I have that little extra interest. I know most of the girls who play for the team so that will hopefully help me and of course City and fingers crossed I have the bragging rights next time we meet up for international duty."
