Hibernian made up ground on the top two in the Scottish Women's Premier League with a hard fought 3-2 victory over Celtic.
The top of the table clash between Glasgow City and Rangers was not played because of City's commitments in the UEFA Women's Champions League and this gave the two teams immediately below them a chance to narrow the gap on them. In the end it was Hibs who took the points courtesy of a Katey Turner double, including a last gasp winner, with Zoe Johnstone also on target while Julie Fleeting and Suzanne Grant replied for the Hoops.
Spartans meanwhile pulled level on points with Celtic by winning 2-0 away to Aberdeen, thanks to a brace of goals from Sarah Ewens.
The two teams at the top of the bottom section of the table met each other and honours were even as Hamilton Academicals and Hutchison Vale shared a 1-1 draw. Rachel Halliday gave the Accies the lead early in the second half, with Hutchie equalising shortly afterwards through Rebecca Galbraith.
Inverness City follow on after they won 3-2 away to Buchan Ladies. Inverness raced into a three-goal lead at the interval thanks to strikes from Lisa McKenzie, Veronika Klechova and Natalie Bodiam but Buchan came back strongly in the second half with Donna Paterson on target twice.
Forfar Farmington meanwhile have lifted themselves out of the bottom two places after goals from Amy Gallacher and Alana Bruce earned them a 2-0 victory over Queen's Park, a result which sees them leapfrog over their opponents.
