Women's Football News
There is a buzz of excitement in the club as Bedford Ladies & Girls FC prepare for a new season of football.
Following the first team's success of 2013-14, they will be playing in the all new FA Women's Premier League (FAWPL), the second tier of women's football in England. They have a new home kit provided By McDonald's Bedford, and away kit by Aquamart, Bedford.
Head Coach, Pete Thornes said: "It's going to be a huge challenge but one we shall embrace and relish. We have got some exciting young players who have grown up together and we have also managed to add some experience this summer."
The first team will be playing in South East Division One against the likes of Luton Town, Milton Keynes Dons, Enfield Town and Crystal Palace among others.
The first two league matches are both at home at Wootton Blue Cross FC and will be something of a local derby as they take on Luton on 4th September and Milton Keynes Dons on 14th September. Before that they make the long trip to Plymouth Argyle for the First Round of the Premier League Cup.
Entrance is free and all support for Bedford Ladies & Girls FC is more than welcome.
