Enfield Town are looking forward to life in the Premier League South East Division One this season under the guidance of new manager Kyri Neocleous.
Kyri takes on his first managerial role with Enfield Town Ladies FC after previously representing the FA as part of their National Coaching Scholarship Programme and working as First Team Coach at Non-League and Conference Level. Kyri has built his coaching reputation in England whilst also representing England as one of the Top 3 Young Coaches in America and Germany.
Speaking on his appointment, Kyri Neocleous said: "This is a fantastic club, run by dedicated people, and I am honored to have been given my first managerial role at a local club.
"There is some fantastic talent at the club and I am looking forward to starting this journey with the squad."
Kyri declared his satisfaction after entering the last week of pre-season before the league opener against Cambridge Women on Sunday 24th August. Enfield have played four friendlies during pre-season, recording victories against Maidenhead Utd and Hampstead Heath whilst losing to Charlton Athletic and Queen's Park Rangers. The friendlies have allowed the manager to assess his squad and has been able to use over 25 players during these four games.
"The squad has shown fantastic application and professionalism during the whole of pre season and are now starting to understand the tempo and intensity I would like the team to play at," said Kyri. "The last two games have been very tough and the younger players have been able to gain some experience playing alongside the seniors.
"We faced two tough teams in Charlton and QPR, however this has set us up nicely if we want to compete for the FA Women's Premier League South East Division One title this season.
"The squad will be prepared and ready for the opening game of the season."
